Aditya Shah, age 14 years, was diagnosed with left hemiplegia (post-stroke). He had a 13-year history of weakness in his left upper limb with significant difficulty in hand function, including poor finger opening, weak wrist control, limited finger movement, and mild spasticity (Grade 1+).

He began specialised neuro-rehabilitation at RehabVeda on 08/07/2025, using the RehabVeda R1 brain-controlled neuro-rehab system. His therapy focused on voluntary hand activation, finger movement control, and functional grip training.

On reassessment on 20/10/2025, Aditya showed significant improvement –

  • Finger flexion improved from 1 → 2 (full movement)
  • Finger extension improved from 0 → 1
  • Wrist score improved from 0 → 2

  • Achieved 4 types of functional grip
  • Spasticity reduced from Grade 1+ → Grade 1

  • Fugl-Meyer hand score improved from 5 → 16

Aditya can now voluntarily grip and release objects with his left hand, demonstrating strong neuroplastic recovery after years of limited hand function. His progress highlights the effectiveness of consistent RehabVeda R1 training.
