Hiren Patel, age 36 years, was diagnosed with right hemiplegia following a stroke. At the start of rehabilitation, he had a 2-month history of weakness with no finger movement, no wrist control, no grip function, and mild spasticity (Grade 1+).

He began neuro-rehabilitation at RehabVeda on 18/08/2025, using the RehabVeda R1
thought-controlled neuro-rehab system. Initial therapy focused on activating basic finger movement, reducing tone, and initiating early wrist activity.

On reassessment on 29/10/2025, Hiren showed meaningful early-stage improvement –

  • Finger flexion improved from 0 → 1

  • Finger extension remained the same (0 → 0)

  • Wrist control remained limited (0 → 0)

  • Grip variety improved from 0 → 3 (Fist, Spherical, Cylinder)

  • Spasticity reduced from Grade 1+ → Grade 1

  • Fugl-Meyer hand score improved from 0 → 5

Hiren now demonstrates partial wrist and finger activation, improved motor coordination, and reduced tone, indicating early neuroplastic recovery in an acute post-stroke phase.
