Mr. Amit Purohit, age 37 years, was diagnosed with right hemiplegia following a stroke. He had an 8-month history of significant weakness in his right upper limb. His major challenges included no finger flexion, no wrist control, no finger extension, no functional grip, and severe spasticity (Grade 4) at the time of starting therapy.
He began rehabilitation at RehabVeda and underwent specialised hand therapy using the RehabVeda R1 brain-controlled neuro-rehab system. With consistent sessions and a personalised treatment plan, he worked on improving finger activity, reducing spasticity, and building early grip patterns.

On reassessment on 28/10/2025, Amit showed notable improvement –
Now Amit demonstrates better voluntary finger movement and improved grip attempts, along with significantly reduced tone, making his hand more relaxed and ready for functional training. Sensory and cognitive functions remain intact, and he responds well to BCI-based therapy.
With continued RehabVeda R1 training, Amit is expected to further improve wrist activation, finger extension, and fine-motor control in the coming months.
