Pinesh Patel, age 40 years, was diagnosed with right hemiplegia following a stroke. At the beginning of rehabilitation, he had a 1-month history of weakness in his right upper limb with restricted finger extension, limited wrist control, only 3 grip patterns, and mild spasticity (Grade 1).

He began therapy at RehabVeda on 16/09/2025, where he started thought-controlled neuro-rehab using the RehabVeda R1 system. The aim was to improve wrist stability, finger extension, and expand grip variety.

On reassessment on 11/10/2025, he showed excellent improvement –

  • Finger flexion remained stable (2 → 2)

  • Finger extension improved from 0 → 2

  • Wrist control improved from 1 → 2

  • Grip variety improved from 3 → 7 (all grip types regained)

  • Spasticity reduced from Grade 1 → Grade 0

  • Fugl-Meyer score improved from 8 → 22 (full score)

Pinesh now demonstrates smooth wrist and finger control, complete grip recovery, normal muscle tone, and strong fine-motor precision, indicating rapid neuroplastic activation in the early post-stroke phase.
