Pradeep Chaturvedi, age 48 years, was diagnosed with right hemiplegia following a stroke. He had a 4-month history of weakness in his right upper limb, presenting with poor finger activation, no wrist control, absence of grip patterns, and mild spasticity (Grade 1+) at the start of therapy.

He began neuro-rehabilitation at RehabVeda on 13/09/2025, undergoing thought-controlled therapy with the RehabVeda R1 system. Initial sessions focused on finger activation, reducing tone, and initiating basic grip training.

On reassessment, Pradeep showed consistent improvement –

  • Finger flexion improved from 1 → 2

  • Finger extension improved from 0 → 1

  • Wrist control remained limited (0 → 0)

  • Grip variety improved from 0 → 3

  • Spasticity reduced from Grade 1+ → Grade 1

  • Fugl-Meyer hand score improved from 1 → 8 (+7 points)

He now demonstrates better finger control, improved grip strength, and reduced tone. He can grasp objects such as a cup and ball with assistance, and has begun active release practice, indicating improving voluntary activation.
